metallic base with two vertical pillars. One
pillar supports a pointer pivoted at its upper
end and the other end moving freely on an
arbitrary scale.The other pillar supports the
specimen rod with one end touching the
adjustment screw for setting the pointer to
zero,supplied with three test rods.
